Outfit for today :3 first attempt at lolita~ Really bad quality photo >.>
Well I haven’t uploaded anything in quite a while but these are photos for my final garments for my Victorian vs. Futuristic project, I made three collars from a variety of materials and then made a unitard to go with them!
Photographs courtasy of Mark Solly
I made a collar as an experimentation. I have found myself rather interested in collars in this project and the collar will probably be the main focus of my final garment. I also did an installation to draw from :)
Cat top =3
So day three and I am wearing good old hareem pants with a punkyfish top, still no colours oops >.>
I did draw one yesterday but I wasn’t bothered to upload it, sheer laziness XD
A fashion illustration of what I was wearing today, leopard print trousers and a tshirt with a cat on it, however all my colours are at uni so black and white it is!
So FMP. Victorian vs. futuristic. I sure to god hope I can pull this off because now I’ve done some research and I am totally head over heals for this idea. So bloody inspired right now.
Above images: Ara Jo, Philips design probes (?) and a Victorian dress, not sure who made it but its really very nice!
These are photos of my final garments for the recycling project. Made from old bedsheets, old buttons and old bits of furniture based on “homelessness” and how the homeless may respond to making garments. Shot in front of my garage with a rubbish camera!
So this is my garment in progress its going to have half a bin in it and a lampshade probably or something along those lines, all of which I have found in charity shops (including the fabrics - an old bedsheet) the buttons are those from a big box of buttons my nan collected over her lifetime so everything has been upcycled! :)
So after being inspired by homelessness and reusing objects that other people have discarded I have started collecting random objects and here are some photos of my experimentation. Who says we cannot use a sieve as a hat?
This is just a few of my experiments on the manniquin for my project “recycling”
My idea is based upon Homelessness and a person reusing objects which other people discard to create a fantastic silhouette, the ideas above are about the idea of how many ways one person could drape a bed sheet to create a great silhouette. I went out today and brought some great bedsheets so hopefully I’ll be able to start sewing my final collection soon!
RECYCLING. So basically Vivienne Westwood and Camilla Norrback are my starting inspiration for this project.
Here are some of my ideas from today, (colour of material is irrelevent at the moment) and some illustrations that go with my ideas
